BonVenture, Investment Director

Angela Lawaldt is an Investment Director at BonVenture, Germany’s first Social Venture Capital Fund, where she advises and finances Social Businesses in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. At BonVenture she focuses on social topics and oversees the Swiss operations. She has helped to create the “Social Reporting Initiative” which promotes impact-based reporting of Social Enterprises. Previously, she led the venture and fundraising efforts at Ashoka Germany. Ms. Lawaldt has been also active as a Social and Business Entrepreneur. While at university she founded an arts-based youth program in Bosnia and Kosovo with the UNV that empowered young children in post-conflict areas to initiate change in their own lives. Her interest in human development and innovation led her to also co-found a student management consultancy and a biotech-start up. Angela studied psychology, business and intercultural management at the Universities of Jena and Oxford. She has German and Iranian roots and worked and lived in Germany, Canada, the UK and Israel.
